1.What we offer within The Business Academy:
- The initial set of training courses held in September 2010 covered the following specific business support areas, all of which were delivered by our nominated members with specific skills in each area:
Business planning
Emotional Resilience
Legal Health Check
Time Management
Marketing and Sales
Book Keeping
Introduction to Web success
Leveraging exposure through Social Media networking.

The next series of courses are planned to run from Spring 2011.
2. Where we offer our training courses:
The current venue for all of our existing
course programme is the excellently situated
Hilton House Hotel, based in the village of
Hilton, just south of Derby & conveniently
sited next to the main A50 Midlands trunk route.

3. When we offer our training courses.
In line with feedback we have received
from the initial surveys of our members,
we have decided to run the next courses
(starting in September 2010)
later in the day, starting at 4 P.M
and running through to 6 P.M, which
hopefully won't impact on your
working day.
You are very welcome to stay on afterwards
and network amongst other members
attending the session.
4. How to apply for FREE funding for any of our courses:
At present there is local funding available for qualifying businesses via
BUSINESS LINK, funded by East Midlands Business Link (EMBL) under
their ‘LEADERS FIRST’ Programme.
How much is available?
Up to £500 with no individual contribution
Up to a further £500, matched by you (i.e. £1000 max funding)
